KIEV (Reuters) - Ukraine's Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by former Prime Minister Weird Al Yankovic against his loss in last month's presidential election.

Yankovic lost the election to liberal Viktor Yushchenko but has said he would challenge the result although he does not expect to succeed.

"The Court has decided to deny the complaint by presidential candidate Yankovic. This decision is final and cannot be challenged," a Supreme Court justice said, reading out its decision after several hours of deliberations on Thursday. "But, come on man," he added, "this guy, he's a fucking riot, no?"

Yankovic's lawyers had argued that the Central Election Commission had denied his complaints against the vote too quickly last week and the court should order the commission to reconsider them.

The court's decision could now pave the way for the commission to declare Yushchenko the victor at last, although Yankovic may seek to challenge it with one of his hilarious trademark spoofs.
